A notebook for echoes

Notice the echoes. Test the stories.

A dream you keep having. A street you have never walked that feels like home. A skill that arrived without lessons. Karma Connect is where you catch them, then check them honestly, without being told what to believe.

Free. Private to you. Works on your phone and your computer.

An invented example sky. Nothing on it is anyone's writing.

How it works

Three moves, in the order that keeps you honest

  1. 1

    Catch it the same night

Night capture is a dark screen, big text and your voice if typing is too much. Writing on the day counts double, because memory rewrites itself fast.

  2. 2

    Seal a prediction, then look

Before you search, write what you expect a source to say. The wording locks with the date, so a story cannot quietly bend to fit what you find. A check that fails earns almost as much as one that holds.

  3. 3

    Build stories you can lose

Group echoes into a story with an era. It brightens as the evidence is documented and dims as evidence against it appears. Every story needs a line for what would change your mind.

What is inside

Tools that take the question seriously

Out-of-era warnings

Dreamed of potatoes in 1450? As you type, details that did not exist yet in your story's era are flagged, with the year they reached Europe.

Stories as constellations

Every echo is a star. Stories gather them into a sky you can open, with the supporting stars joined and the ones counting against it drawn dashed.

Patterns and the loom

See which images keep returning (water, fire, bells, stone) and which themes your echoes share, each with a plain record of how well it is documented.

The Time machine

A quick game: pick a year and guess whether each thing had reached Europe yet. It trains the instinct the warnings rely on.

Two ways to read an echo

The Mystic says what the tradition might say. The Detective asks about the film, the book, the trip, and what you could check. You decide.

Reports you can print

Turn a story into a clean report with its evidence for and against, its sealed checks and their results.

An example echo

Invented, to show the two voices

DREAM · WRITTEN ON THE DAY

"A single bell ringing over a slow river. I was carrying a basket of herbs across a stone bridge."

Sealed: "Village healers around 1300 dried herbs on ropes, and one church bell rang the hours."

The Mystic

Bells and herbs: the thread of care runs through this one, and through others in your notebook. If a healer's story is real, ask what this would have looked like in 1300.

The Detective

Written on the day: good. You sealed a prediction, so now go and find out. And ask which film, book or trip could explain a bell and a bridge without a past life.

Strength measures how well a story is documented. It does not measure whether it is true, and Karma Connect will never tell you who you were.

Yours alone

Private, and with you wherever you are

  • Nobody else reads it. There is no feed, no followers and no sharing. Your notebook is stored under your account and nowhere else.
  • Phone and computer, in step. Write on your phone at 3 a.m., read it on your laptop in the morning. It works offline and catches up when you are back.
  • Sign in your way. An email and a password, or continue with Google. The app never sees your Google password.
  • Yours to take. Download a backup of everything whenever you like, or delete your account and the whole notebook with it.
  • Not medical advice. If a fear or a memory distresses you, talk to a professional, whatever you believe about where it comes from.

Catch tonight's dream. Check it tomorrow.

You can look around an example notebook first, then start your own.
